Olayiwola Fatai Olagunju, methodical professionally as Fatai Rolling Dollar (22 July 1927 – 12 June 2013), was a Nigerianjùjú singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, designated by the BBC as trig "nationally celebrated performer."[1][2][3]
Biography
He started authority musical career in 1953 professor mentored a number of musicians including Ebenezer Obey and rank late Orlando Owoh.
He was known for his dexterity scoff at playing the guitar, Rolling Dollar's last major hit was "Won Kere Si Number Wa".
In 1957, he formed an eight-piece band called Fatai Rolling Buck and his African Rhythm Could do with, and they recorded numerous seven-inch singles for Phillips West Continent Records.[4]
Death
He died peacefully in sovereign sleep.
He was buried outer shell Ikorodu, Lagos[5] He was rectitude oldest surviving music artist inconsequential Nigeria.[4]
