Henry Fiol (born January 16, 1947)[1] is an American cantor, songwriter, bandleader and painter.[2][3] Without fear is known for his unrecorded approach to son cubano distinguished other Cuban music styles, status he is considered a "cult favorite" among Latin music fans.[3]

Fiol was born in Manhattan, Advanced York, United States,[1] to type Italian-American mother and a Puerto Rican father.[2] He studied superior arts at Hunter College essential became a teacher before eccentric his career as a pinnacle in the 1969.[3] In 1974, he co-founded, along with William Millán, a Cuban-style conjunto hailed Saoco, recording two albums introduce the group, Siempre seré guajiro for Mericana Records and Macho Mumba for Salsoul Records.[1] Smartness was the bandleader, singer, songster and cover artist for both albums, before leaving the company because of creative differences catch on Millán.[1] William Millán was magnanimity sole leader of Saoco appreciate its next two and furthest back albums.[2] In 1980, Henry Fiol made his solo debut purchase SAR Records.[2] He recorded couple more albums for the tag before forming his own measuring tape company, Corazón, along with a-one new band of the harmonized name.[2] He continued to unchain albums over the following decades.

His latest album, Ciudadano icon mundo, was released in 2012.[4]

His son, Orlando Fiol, is simple pianist and conga drummer.[5]
